Can I return/exchange and item if I change my mind?

Yes, at Mechanism, we want you to love your purchase. If for any reason you’re not 100% satisfied, you can return your order for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Please note, Mechanism is not responsible for providing a physical return label; customers will need to print the provided label.

Holiday Extended return windows:

Purchases made between November 1st and Dec 31st will benefit from an extended return period until the end of January.

Your order number can be found in your Order and Shipping Confirmation emails. If you still can't find it, please reach out to us—we’re happy to help!


I received the wrong items. What do I do?

We always aim to pack orders perfectly but every once in a while (we are human after all) we make a mistake. If you received the wrong or missing items in your order please email us right away at [email protected] and we will make it right!

 

Important Information for Returns & Exchanges:

  • Return Window: All returns and exchanges must be initiated through our returns portal within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • Return Label: If needed, return label costs will be deducted from your refund amount.
  • Product Condition: Returned items should be in usable condition. Inventory sling back must include Hang tags and be in generally resealable condition.
  • Refund Processing: Once we receive your returned items, your refund will be issued to the original payment method within 7 business days. Payment methods cannot be changed for refunds.
  • Non-Mechanism Items: Please ensure only Mechanism products are included in your return. We cannot return non-Mechanism items, and they will be disposed of if sent.
  • Entire Order Returns: If you're returning your entire order, all items, including any promotional or free items, must be included. Missing items may result in partial refunds.
  • International Returns: International customers are responsible for their return shipping and must provide a return label with tracking.
  • Proof of Drop-Off: Keep your drop-off receipt and a picture of the return label for your records. If your return is lost with USPS but you can provide proof of drop-off and label, Mechanism will honor the return.
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Return Authorization: A Mechanism pre-paid return label must be used for all returns. Any return shipping costs incurred outside of this are non-refundable.
  • Purchases Outside Mechanism: Returns will only be accepted for orders placed directly on getmechanism.com. For items purchased from authorized dealers, please follow their return policy.
  • Digital LabelsMechanism provides digital return labels only. We cannot supply a physical label. However, some USPS locations accept a QR code in place of a label. Find a QR-accepting location here.
  • Multiple Return Requests: If you submit multiple return requests and receive multiple labels, be sure to use the correct label for each item to avoid processing delays.
  • Exchanges: We offer a single exchange per order. If you need another exchange, you'll need to return the item and place a new order.
  • Personalized Products: Unfortunately, personalized items are non-refundable and cannot be returned. All personalized sales are final.
  • Warranty Claims: Orders with processed warranty claims are ineligible for return.
